INVESTIGATION 006 | 365

Investigates

Investigates becoming through sustained creative practice.

Statement

365 is an ongoing body of work investigating how identity transforms through sustained creative inquiry.

Rather than documenting finished ideas, the project observes the movement of becoming while it is still happening. It follows the reconstruction of identity after leaving corporate life, documenting what unfolds when an artist is no longer left outside the conference room, but invited back into the work itself.

Each entry serves as evidence of an unfolding research practice. Working across video, photography, writing, conversation, and advisory practice, 365 treats every medium as a way of investigating the same enduring questions:

How does identity change? How do we learn to see differently? What invisible forces shape the worlds we build?

The project unfolds publicly through YouTube, but YouTube is not its subject. Nor is it simply its distribution. It is one of the mediums through which the work exists. The platform itself becomes part of the investigation. Its architecture. Its algorithms. Its metrics. Its comments. Its incentives toward performance, entertainment, and monetization.

Rather than accepting those structures as fixed, 365 asks what happens when they are approached as artistic material. Can a platform designed for performance become a place for inquiry? Can an audience become participants rather than consumers? Can comments become part of the artwork? Can analytics become artifacts instead of verdicts?

The videos are only one expression of the work. Each thumbnail functions as a declarative statement. Each title documents a lived experience. Each written reflection records the discovery that followed. Together they form an expanding archive of observations, experiments, and evidence gathered over time.

This work also exists as social commentary. It reflects on contemporary ideas of work, entrepreneurship, creativity, personal branding, corporate identity, and the increasing desire to build lives that feel more integrated than performative. At its center is a simple proposition: The artist does not disappear because the medium changes. The medium changes because the inquiry asks something different.

The work makes no attempt to arrive at certainty. It documents uncertainty itself. It does not offer conclusions. It leaves traces. It asks whether becoming can be observed while it is still unfolding.

And whether making the invisible a little more visible might change not only the artist, but also the people who choose to witness the work.

Research Question

What becomes visible when the observer becomes part of the observation?

Finding

Creative practice does not simply produce artwork. It produces the person capable of making it.
