Statement

Sky emerged alongside Earth from an expanding fascination with perception and the realization that reality is shaped as much by the limits of observation as by what is physically present. Inspired by Charles and Ray Eames' Powers of Ten and the images being transmitted by the Hubble Space Telescope, I began questioning the relationship between what the eye perceives and what exists beyond its reach.

Standing beneath an open sky, I became aware of the gap between experience and reality. I could see clouds, shifting light, and changing color, yet I knew that beyond what my eyes could perceive were galaxies, expanding space, and light that had traveled for millions of years before arriving at Earth. Looking upward became less about photographing the sky and more about confronting the boundaries of perception itself.

At the same time, I was beginning to encounter Eastern philosophy and ideas that challenged my assumptions about identity, reality, and the nature of consciousness. Rather than providing answers, these ideas gave me permission to ask deeper questions. Sky became an investigation into the unseen—not only the vastness beyond human vision, but the invisible frameworks through which we understand ourselves and the world around us.

Finding

The limits of perception are not the limits of reality. Every horizon marks the edge of what we are currently able to see—not the edge of what exists.
